The U.S. Probation Office for the District of Columbia provides support services to chronically underemployed probationers who face barriers to employment due to deficiencies in education, work training, and job related skills. Our agency can provide job coaching, life skills, job readiness training, and/or job search assistance. Our goal is to create a population faced with fewer obstacles, better prepared for future endeavors and able to become law abiding members of their community. The U.S. Probation Office has a workforce development center that provides access to computers/telephones/fax machines for individuals to create/edit resumes, conduct job searches or to develop basic computer skills.
All male U.S. citizens and male aliens living in the U.S. who are 18-25 are required to register with the Selective Service. Use the following form to request a Status Information Letter if you are not registered with the Selective Service and over the age of 26:
