Community Service

The U.S. Probation Office for the District of Columbia, in partnership with identified civic and/or non-profit agencies, provides an opportunity for individuals on supervision to comply with Court ordered conditions of supervision to complete community service. The condition of community service allows these individuals to give back to a community harmed by their criminal acts. Our agency conducts orientation sessions, maintains contact with the partnering agencies, and monitors and reports the compliance of individuals in the program. In addition, one weekend each month, U.S. probation officers work directly with individuals under supervision completing community service in Washington, D.C.
